Working from home has it's drawbacks too...
For real estate agents, working from home is an option that can provide a range of benefits. Some of the tasks that we must do daily can easily be done without leaving the house. However, before you make the transition, it is important to carefully consider the pros and cons.
The flexibility that working from home offers is a huge plus. You can create your own schedule and work at your own pace, which is especially important when you may have to work irregular hours to accommodate your clients. Plus, you can save money on transportation, utilities, and meals.
There are also potential drawbacks to working from home. You may miss the social interactions that come with working in an office environment. Staying accountable can be difficult when working from home because you likely won’t have your accountability partner with you. If you find yourself motivated by external inputs, working from home may not be for you. It can also be difficult to separate your work life from your personal life, which may lead to burnout.
Personally, I LOVE the synergy of working in our office! I find that when I work from home, I’m distracted by anything to do OTHER than work. About the only time you’ll catch me doing laundry or vacuuming is if I’m “working” from home. Now that being said, I do have a sweet home office setup so when something comes up in the evening or on the weekends, I don’t feel the need to run down to the office to take care of it.
Ultimately, deciding if working from home is a good fit for you depends on your individual work style and preferences.
